Terms of the free beta

Short, plain-English terms. By using the beta you accept them.

Who operates the service

GravelRights is operated by Hedley Stirk, trading as GravelRights (sole trader). Postal contact: 34 Rayner Drive, Brighouse, HD6 2DG. [email protected].

The service

GravelRights is a free beta for planning gravel rides in England. It may change, pause or contain errors. There is no fee, no account and no service-level promise.

Your responsibility

You ride at your own risk. Check access, surfaces, weather and closures; obey signs and the Highway Code and Countryside Code as applicable. Nothing here is legal advice.

The legal record and changing conditions

Council digital datasets are working copies. The Definitive Map and Statement held by the relevant highway authority is the legal record. National compilations may lag local changes, and physical, surface and traffic observations do not grant cycling access. Check signs and local conditions, give way to walkers and horses, and follow the Countryside Code.

Availability and liability

We cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every suggestion is accurate, current or suitable for your ride. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including rights about where a claim may be brought, are unaffected.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the search, routing or feedback endpoints, scrape the service aggressively, or misrepresent GravelRights content as authoritative legal records.
